RIDEAU HALL

Restoration of the perimeter fence

Ottawa, ON

Our work involves the rehabilitation of a portion of the 7,700-foot fence surrounding Rideau Hall, the official residence of the Governor General. This stone and wrought iron perimeter fence, considered a historic monument, was built in 1927. The specific tasks related to this project include the assembly and reassembly of the stone masonry, restoration of the existing limestone, repairs to using mortar and decorative metalwork.
